Editorial and journalism work

Launched and maintained a personal newsletter from 2020-2024, in which I was first exposed to research-based writing, and developed skills in communication and marketing my work to a platform of regular readers

Will be serving as a deputy editor for my school paper, The Jabberwock, in 2025-2026, in which, after contributing many articles on school events and topics of interest,I am tasked with making initial edits for the twentieth edition

Serving as the co-founder and editor-in-chief of a company newsletter for K-12 Skills, a tutoring company, where I am developing and managing a student editorial, making final edits per issue, and expanding personal skills in the publication process and graphic design

Developing initiatives for state and academic institutions

As a board member and the Co-Opportunities' Manager for the 2024-2025 cohort of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Youth Advisory Council, I ran a database and researched and consolidated opportunities for the over-60 cohort members throughout the state, which were distributed through platforms spanning different scopes of media, from the database to social media platforms. This initiative, which included running regular polls to filter entries in the database, allowed me to leverage previous data science skills with new marketing and management experience.

As a member of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Policy and Advocacy Subcommittee, I am working on drafting a bill on public health and education to present to the Virginia General Assembly, applying past analyses on health policy into my policy work.

(halted): Working as an organizer for an upcoming Youth-Nex Webinar, which will pool from educators and policymakers nationwide, and using experience on the topic of technology policy to develop the course of the event
